Freeplay: Modern & Classic Video Game Festival

Hey Superfans:

Those of you who have made it out to the last few Fantasmos have heard us talk about an exciting new signature event we have coming up on January 30th at Central Library called Freeplay. Like Monster Fest and FantaSci, it's an all-day program with panels on video gaming featuring professionally ranked players and experts, as well as film screenings of cult classics. Best of all we will have a plethora of modern and classic video game consoles on hand, as well as the old school, coin-operated arcade machines from the 80's. All available for you to play . . . for free! So whether you're a fan of Atari or Xbox 360, you're totally covered : ) Our massive schedule for the day is as follows:

9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Screening of Super Mario Brothers

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Vintage & Modern Computer Gaming - Presented By HRGeeks

1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Screening of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters -
Hosted By Afterburner High Score Record Holder David Hernly

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Homemade Arcades & Repair - Presented By Derek Williams

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Screening of TRON

9:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. - Screening of The Last Starfighter

. . . and as mentioned before the video games will be available for freeplay all day long!
